Rules & Regulations - Please Read!
Drop off/Pick up by appointment only. Please call if you are running late.
All pets must be free of infection and current on vaccinations including rabies, distemper/parvo and Bordetella (kennel cough). The Bordetella vaccine is required annually and should be administered preferable, at least two weeks prior to boarding with us. Shot records must be faxed or mailed to us prior to dropping off pet. (Fax No. 540-363-0221) There will be a $5 service fee if we have to call your vet to verify vaccinations.
Home Away from Home allows dogs that get along to be turned out together for supervised playtime. If you prefer your dog to be turned out individually, please inform us. Due to the fact that all dogs are handled daily taken out for exercise 5-6 times a day, we cannot accommodate overly aggressive dogs. We only require you provide dog food. Please label all personal belongings of the pet, i.e. toys, treats, food, etc. with the pet's name and your last name. Do not bring irreplaceable items. We do our best to return all personal belongings, but it is not always possible.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate fence jumpers & pit bulls.
We trust you will understand that these rules and regulations are necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the kennel and most importantly, for the welfare of your pet.
Make your reservations as soon as you know your travel plans. Space is limited and we would hate to have to turn you away.
